"Working with Garry on Destroy All Humans! Path of the Furon has been an absolute pleasure. Garry was our composer of choice from the start, not because he provided the incredible scores for the first two DAH! titles, but because he is simply the best. Garry is a true collaborator, a total professional, and an incredibly talented artist. Rather than seeing this project as a “sequel”, he saw an opportunity to take his music for the franchise in new, daring directions. At every step in the creative process, Garry is inquisitive, inventive, responsive, and always striving to tap into the player’s emotional state, and through his music, keep the player engaged in the experience. I highly recommend Garry." Jon Knoles - Creative Director, Sandblast Games "Garry Schyman's work for us was incredible from the start in every possible aspect. From his ability to produce and compose amazingly unique orchestral recordings, all the meanwhile perfectly accommodating the peaks and troughs of game development, Garry really deserves all the praise he gets for the BioShock soundtrack and then some." Emily Ridgway, Audio Director, Irrational Games "It's kind of hard to imagine BioShock without Garry’s music. It just wouldn’t be the same game." - Ken Levine, Creative Director, Irrational Games "Garry not only got the style for Destroy All Humans, he helped shape it with his brilliant score. The soundtrack helped take the game to a whole new level. I'd happily work with Garry again." - Greg Borrud, Director of Production, Pandemic Studios "The fervor of armies on the march, the whisper of a conspiratorial meeting, the sorrow of a death bed scene--Garry Schyman's music powerfully evokes moments of high drama and personal poignancy. Garry approaches his art with the dedication and espirit de corps that director's dream of finding in their collaborators, and his scores summon emotions that elevate films to a higher level. Garry is a superb composer, and a delight to work with." - Noah Morowitz, Peabody Award-winning director "We took submissions from a variety of talented musicians who were all very keen to work on the game In the end we selected a chap called Garry Schyman, whose brain is doing a great job providing us with hours and hours of very cool and genre specific music. Bernard Herrmann was the influence, and Garry has done an awesome job of providing us with an original score inspired by that influence." - Brad Welch, director Destroy All Humans! "I had the distinct pleasure of working with Garry Schyman when he wrote and produced the score for a film I made in Africa. In addition to being a classically trained composer Garry is also an extremely talented contemporary musician who surprised and delighted everyone on our African project with a score that was both ethnic and classical in its elements. Garry is a multi-talented composer with an appreciation and insightful grasp of all the musical possibilities available to a truly gifted artist in today's multi cultural world." - Stewart Raffill, writer/director Lost In Africa "I first met Garry when I was searching for a composer for a film and was listening to the work of numerous film composers. Out of them Garry's stood out way above the others. His sound was completely original and moved all of us who heard it. Meeting Garry was a pleasure and working with him is a dream. After working together numerous times I can say that Garry is "the perfect" composer for any type of project. Not only does he understand the film making process, both technically and emotionally, but he must have studied psychology as he seems to have a knack of what is need to pull the right feeling at just the right time whether it is comedic scene, or a dramatic or action scene. He is great to work with and I always enjoy the process. He listens to my ideas and works with them, enhancing them if they are good and isn't afraid to tell me if they aren't. He also fights for an idea he believes in. For example, in my family film Spooky House, which stars Ben Kingsley and Mercedes Ruehl he wanted a musical saw. I heard a recording of it and didn't like it. He persisted until I agreed to record it and see how it worked. Well, it worked great, and when this ethereal sound floats around the theater in Dolby EX 6.1 it is one of the highlights of the film, and I am constantly pointing out that it is a saw (Craftsman from Sears) to people. That was what the director in me says, the producer in me agrees with all that and adds that Garry knows how to save money and still get the best score for the film at the right price. Thank you Garry for being there for me. - William Sachs, director Spooky House "With the most beautiful soundtrack I've ever heard, composed by Garry Schyman (in full stereo); crisp, live action video; and a plot with a time constraint that makes your heart pump, Voyeur is unlike anything I've ever played." - Michael B.
